For the third time in the last four meetings, the Maumee boys golf team posted a close win over Whitmer in the Battle of the Panthers. On Thursday, Maumee won, 179-185.

Earlier this season, Maumee and Whitmer tied, 196-196. Maumee won last year’s two meetings by a stroke each time.

J.J. Peace led Maumee with a 41 on Thursday, followed closely by Antonio Valadez’s 42. Mateo Valadez and Jaxon Keer both had 48s to help seal the win.
