The Maumee girls tennis team completed a perfect week with a second straight 5-0 victory, topping host Waite on Thursday. That win came two days after beating Oak Harbor in straight sets.

Mckayla Hayes at second singles and Tylee Alvarez at third won their matches in straight sets. Hilari Miko dominated at first singles, 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, Laci Winckowski and Lily Hucke swept their match at first doubles, 6-0, 6-0, while Lily Jones and Sophia Pan picked up the win at second doubles by forfeit.

The Panthers improved to 7-2 overall on the season.

Panthers Boys Golf

Antonio Valadez tied for medalist honors, and the Panthers finished third as a team with a 185 at the second Northern Buckeye Conference Shootout at Maumee Bay Golf Course on Thursday.

Valadez fired a 40 to lead Maumee. Mateo Valadez shot a 45, while J.J. Peace and Owen Sloan each carded 50s.

The Panthers return to action Tuesday at the third NBC Shootout at Fostoria Country Club.

Panthers Girls Soccer

Maumee slipped to 0-5 on the season with a 3-0 loss at Bryan last week. Amiyah Langham scored twice for the Golden Bears.
