While Teagan Kennedy hadn’t run cross country since middle school, the Maumee senior has wasted little time making an impact on the varsity team.
In just the second race of the season, Kennedy broke a 15-year-old school record by 40 seconds, finishing in 18 minutes, 5.3 seconds to take third overall at the Columbus Grove Invitational Red Division race on Saturday.
Teammate Arriana Dugan placed 15th out of 192 runners in 19:42.5, helping the Panthers take seventh in the 19-team field.
