For the first time this season, the Maumee volleyball team dropped a Northern Buckeye Conference match, falling 3-0 at Lake on Thursday night.

The Panthers slipped to 3-1 in league play and 4-3 overall.

Junior setter Brooke Kwiatkowski finished with 16 assists and 14 digs. She is now 70 assists shy of 1,000 for her career and just 36 digs from 600.

Reign Hurt and Sydney Genot led the Maumee attack with five kills apiece. Genot also added six digs. Bryanna Lankey and Hayden Vascik chipped in four kills each, while Julia Coutcher had nine digs.

Lake improved to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the NBC. The Flyers have won five straight conference titles.
